4 months too early to potty train?

My sister has started to potty train her 4 month old Baby. I am a little concerned over her need to rush everything. She has also purchased the DVD’s that teach your child to read. How do I talk to her about rushing her baby’s development, or is there even a need to? I don’t want her to feel like I am judging how she raises her child, but it seems like she is just pushing her baby too hard. Should I just mind my own business??
Thanks for all the good advice. I will be minding my own business. LOL… you’re right. I guess if the baby isn’t being hurt who am I to judge. It’s just uncomfortable when she calls asking for my approval and I think she is crazy…lol Thanks again.

Ther are some theories that potty training as early as three months can work. It’s not what I would try, but I wouldn’t tell her not to. It won’t harm the baby unless she becomes too anxious. Again with the reading, I’m not sure what the DVD says to do, but at that age, reading to your baby is very good for the baby’s future reading. No matter what she is doing, it’s only if she becomes over anxious that there may be problems.

Leave your sister to do what she wants unless she asks for advice. Telling a new mum what to do, when she has not asked for advice is upsetting for her and may cause a rift in your relationship. And she will probably take no notice. If you want to give her subtle advice, perhaps you could buy her a book, but again, if she does not agree with it, she probably won’t take any notice.

Mind your own business unless she asks for help or for your opinion. There are many ways to bring up children. Some may be better thatn others, but most children turn out OK in the end, despite their parents.
